  • book munchies: excellence in the essentials

I read books morning, noon and most nights! This is a truly exceptional read:- Beautifully crafted, rich in content style and character…. truly and rarely the kind of book I would wish to say I’d written! True enjoyment in life is found by focusing on the essentials, and Ford is a wise, tasteful(!) and sensitive guide in these things. There is always a scriptural basis for the truth of each subject matter, accompanied by gutsy dos and dont’s throughout…. This [...]

  • your best-of books, in 2009?

Well, it’s that time of the year where people share their “best of” lists…. and I’m a real sucker for these! I’ll likely post a couple myself but I thought I’d start with the somewhat predictable book nominations!! This book delivers an engaging and pacey story while [...]

A room without (many) books, truly is like a house without windows!!

  • book-munch!

Here’s the mind-food I’ve been reading during the month of January! I’ve had a really great start to the new year in very many ways and of the reads done, there’s been so very much that I’ve enjoyed and much-less endured…… There’s been even more movies absorbed…… but here goes for the list of the books (exc some MTh study volumes!!) The Spectacular Ordinary Life by Viv Thomas Sin, Guilt & Forgiveness by Mary Anne Coate The Shack by WS [...]
