• dd – apples

  Apples from the garden are satisfying, apples from others are kind, apples that are the best and longest-lasting in the bowl… and best on the lips are, JSS Organic Pink Ladies! This is my domestic-detail for the week; this I do believe, what about you?

• running well matters

  I’ve been in bad physical shape and long to get so much better! Having never done hardly any – ok no gymn work till the start of the year I’m finding some sort of regularity and enjoyment in it. Running was never much of a preference or choice before so completing 3Km feels like a decent marker to begin with! So having had a few desperate and leaden runs each week, 12.57mins were todays figures which shaved many minutes off [...]

• recent eternal wisdom!

  Recently I heard a small child ask the question:-“How old is God?”. The host delighted the audience with his answer: “Older than an elephant, older than a giraffe, older than the moon, older than space, and younger than you”. Wise and true – don’t you think?

• dd – clothes washing

  In the last year of my life, I’ve become more domesticated (well slightly!!) through living on my own. I’m a convert to washing liquid for one, and best clothes washing results but I tend to default to a three-loads-at-one-go routine!! It sometimes ends being motivated by supplies running thin or out!!   I sat with God’s word, today in a way I haven’t for way too long….. ….. I didn’t study, …. I didn’t journal, .. I didn’t reflect and reason, I just worshipped and wept.
